Club Trip June 2023

What a brilliant trip over the last two days. 39 discerning ladies headed out early on Sunday morning from Clonakilty via a quick Portlaoise pit stop to the beautiful Mount Venus Nursery, Rathfarnham, onto the Merry Ploughboy Pub Rathfarnham for lunch (top class may I say), then to Ardan Garden with Nuala and Conall and then on to Medina Garden with Karl (both in Howth). We overnighted in the Glenview Hotel, Wicklow. Lovvvellyyy jubbleyyy!!!
On Monday we visited Trudder Grange Garden, including a gorgeous tea break, onto Mount Usher Gardens and Beechdale Garden Centre, Enniscorthy.
We had such fun, and were blown away by the amazing Gardens, their amazing hosts and incredible plant range.
My photos really dont do them justice. All our hosts were so lovely, and helpful, and so generous with their time and their vast knowledge. Huge THANK YOU to you all. Shout out to our driver Ian, who was an absolute legend. Nothing was too much trouble to him!!!! The homebound trip was like a game of tetris with luggage and plants. Great memories were made on this trip. X

May 2022 Gala

Our club was deeply honoured to have hosted the highly acclaimed John Paul Deehan from Derry at our recent Gala night on May 9th. The event was a wonderful success and attracted over two hundred flower lovers who were treated to an array of spectacular arrangements. Here is a small sample from the night .

Easter 2021

The arrival of some pleasant weather reminds us that Spring is here and that we can enjoy the outdoors over Easter with a bounce in our step. Some of our members have been busy brightening up their houses with beautiful baskets, bouquets and beautiful arrangement for Easter. We also have an Easter bonnet to wear with a smile!

October 2020 Virtual Competition

Thanks to everyone who entered the October 2020 Virtual Competition, which was our first online event. The fact that there were nineteen entries made it a great success. Photographs of the exhibits are in the Gallery section of the website. Our esteemed adjudicator, Una Fleming, was very impressed with the standard and the enthusiasm shown by everyone. Naturally, we miss the tea and cakes while viewing the entries! The first four are beginners, the next three are intermediate, the next three are advanced, the next seven are 'Three garden flowers' and the last two are 'Two different dahlias'.
